Party wings, anyone? This is my very favorite way to enjoy hot wings! The BBQ sauce is amazing and the wings are crisp and cooked through and are not greasy at all. The grill adds a hint of smoked flavor that is absolutely delicious!
Ingredients:
20 thawed chicken wings and drummies
1 cup ketchup
6 tbsp lime juice
1 1/2 tbsp Green Jalapeño Tabasco
3 tbsp dried cilantro leaves
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
1 tbsp ground pepper corns
1 tbsp ground sea salt
Instructions:
Preheat grill to low.
Rinse wings and drummies and pat dry with paper towel.
Place chicken on main rack of the grill and cook on low for 15-20 minutes, turning often. Move chicken to top rack of grill, close the grill, and continue cooking on low for an additional 15-20 minutes.
The chicken is so good cooked this way that some may choose to not add sauce or additional flavoring.
In a large bowl, combine all remaining ingredients while chicken is grilling. Mix well and cover for at least 20 minutes before using. This will optimize the flavors.
Remove wings from grill and toss in the fresh Cilantro Lime BBQ Sauce and serve with cross cut celery and ranch dressing.
This BBQ sauce has a fair amount of spice that combined with the lime juice and cilantro is great alternative to traditional sauces.
