Our family LOVES pancakes and that may even be an understatement. A Homemade Pancake is so much better than a store bought mix and after experimenting with many recipes we’ve found one we like best! They cook up fluffy and the center is not left doughy like some pancakes. They also have a great cinnamon flavor that you’ll love even without syrup.
Homemade Pancake Mix
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 4 -5 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
These are the ingredients you’ll mix together and store in a jar.
When it’s time to make the pancakes you’ll also need:
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 tbsp oil
Sift together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
Store this mixture in a mason jar until you need to make more. Each jar of mix will make 2 batches of pancakes. Each batch serving 8.
When you’re ready to make these delicious pancakes place 1 1/2 cups of the dry mix in a medium bowl.
Whisk an egg and add it to 3/4 cup of milk. Add the oil and continue whisking until combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry mix and stir until the dry ingredients are moistened.
Grease and heat a griddle or pan over medium heat.
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the preheated griddle. Allow the batter to cook until bubbles begin to form on the top of each pancake. Flip the pancakes and continue cooking until the bottom side has turned golden.
Serve hot with real maple syrup!
