Um, I hope you’re near a Red Lobster, because by the time I’m finished with this post, you’ll wish you were! I was asked to review Red Lobster’s Endless Shrimp, and let me tell you…I WISH my stomach was endless too! No, seriously! The menu items I tried were the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, Parmesan Shrimp Scampi, Sriracha Grilled Shrimp, Hand-Breaded Shrimp, and Coconut Shrimp Bites. Menus vary, so check Redlobster.com to see what’s available in your area.
All entrees are served with your choice of salad and Unlimited Cheddar Bay biscuits. I would go to Red Lobster for the biscuits alone, truthfully. They’re that GOOD!! They’re cheesy and flaky and just out of this world yummy. If you haven’t tried them yet, you should, very, very soon. The salad was also delicious, with crispy lettuce and fresh dressing (which is great mopped up with a biscuit!). Can you say YUM!!
Let’s start with my least favorite item – the Coconut Shrimp bites.
They looked really good – breaded with coconut and crispy and tender, but they were just too sweet for my taste. My husband, on the other hand, really liked them and thought the pina colada dipping sauce was amazing.
The next thing I tried was the Sriracha grilled shrimp. It’s wood-grilled shrimp topped with a spicy Sriracha glaze and served with creamy Sriracha aioli. I’m not a fan of spicy foods, but I tried them anyway. They do have a great flavor, but are definitely on the spicy side. If you’re a fan of spicy foods, I highly recommend them.
Next, I tried the Parmesan Shrimp Scampi, and they were really good. The aged Parmesan gave the scampi a unique flavor that I really liked a lot. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, not overcooked like some shrimp you get when dining out.
I also really enjoyed the Hand-breaded Shrimp. They were perfectly breaded and perfectly fried, and had a light flavorful taste. They’re great on their own or dipped in cocktail or tartar sauce.
My favorite was the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo. They should just call it heaven on a plate. It’s shrimp in a garlic Parmesan cream sauce over linguini (the sauce is AH-mazing y’all). The cream sauce is made with just the right amount of garlic so it’s flavorful but not overpowering. The entree had the perfect amount of sauce and the shrimp was generous. All in all, a very creamy, rich, and delicious dish.
If you’ve never been to Red Lobster before, the Endless Shrimp menu is a great reason to go NOW. If you have been before, and you LOVE the food as much as I do, then be sure you go again before it ends to get a great meal at a phenomenal price.
