I can’t wait to tell all of you about this really cool product I was asked to review – the Ardente Gourmet Stirrer. It’s AMAZING! I’m sure when I say stirrer, you think spoon, but that’s not what this is at ALL. It’s actually an automatic stirrer for your food.
The original idea came from an Italian man named John who wanted to help his mom. Like most Italian women, she always had three or four pots simmering on the stove at once. I’ve often wondered how they do that – they have spaghetti sauce, spaghetti noodles, soup, and something else cooking at the same time, and it comes out perfect. Turns out, these women ask for help from their kids. John decided to invent something to do the stirring for his mom, and the idea for the Ardente gourmet stirrer was born.
My husband made some chicken and sausage gumbo. If you’ve ever made gumbo, you know that cooking it requires a lot of attention. He clipped the stirrer on and it made cooking a BREEZE! It turns slowly enough that it doesn’t splash the contents of the pot all over the stove, but it’s fast enough that you don’t have any stuck‐on mess at the end of the meal. It truly is an amazing idea.
How to use ardente gourmet stirrer
To use the stirrer, all you need is a 2 handled pot, and then it locks on and adjusts and centers itself. The stirrer is plastic, so it won’t damage your pots and pans, and it’s got settings so that you can just keep stirring or stir intermittently. (Risotto, anyone?) It even has stackable blades, so you can get a bigger consistency if you’re looking to make a tall pot of something.
After we finished our meal,- (which came out perfect), we just washed the main body of the stirrer and threw the rest in the top rack of the dishwasher. Voila! It was clean.
Imagine how a product like this could change the way you do things. You can let the stirrer do its job while you help the kids with homework, vacuum the living room, or run out and sign for the package from the UPS man with no worries. It’s also great for camping and tailgating.
I can’t say enough good things about the Ardente Gourmet Stirrer. If you want your own, you can pick one up here. Prices vary according to the size and how many blades you’ll need.
