This is the time of year when we start to think about things like next year’s calendar. Um, while I was looking at desk pad calendars, all I could think about was how ugly and plain they were. So I decided to keep the calendar in a planning book and make a desk pad for my writing desk. Thanks to a little Pinterest inspiration, I was able to make my own with almost no effort, and it looks great! I like leopard print myself, so I chose to use that. It was so simple and inexpensive to make that if it gets coffee rings or ink stains on it, I can make a new one in no time. Awesome, right?
Supplies Needed:
Clear Desk Mat – Buy from Amazon
Adhesive Spray Glue- Check it at Amazon
Wrapping Paper of your choice- See the options available at Amazon
Once you pick out your favorite roll of wrapping paper lay it out on a flat surface such as the floor or a table with the print side facing up.
Lay your desk mat on a flat surface smooth side up and spray a generous amount of adhesive glue and be sure to cover the entire mat, including edges. Let air dry for a few seconds. Now turn your mat over and place the smooth side down on your wrapping paper focusing on the edges to get your straight lines.
Once your mat is in place it’s time to trim off the excess paper. Once you’ve trimmed the paper your mat is ready to go.
Place on your desk and enjoy the new desk accessory. Best of all once you’re tired of the print you can easily remove it in a matter of seconds and start all over.
Enjoy!!
