Um, it’s amazing how much a person needs to take to college. You usually consider the normal items – clothes, a mini fridge, a few pictures from home, but once you start packing, you realize that there is a LOT more. Once, a friend told me about bringing her child to college and seeing that another student had towed an entire trailer of things. I can’t even imagine bringing a trailer, but my daughter sure is bringing a lot of stuff!
One of the things we realized we needed to buy at the last minute was toiletries. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, and disposable razors. I’m so glad we remembered all of this stuff before we sent her on her way without them!
So we headed to Walmart – our go‐to place for just about everything. They always have what I need and the prices are great. When we got there, there were so many different varieties of Schick disposable products it was hard to pick just one. Schick Hydro Silk Disposables are the first and only disposable razor with dermatologist‐tested serum that hydrates your skin through each shave. Schick Quattro for Women Disposables have 4 synchronized blades and a conditioning strip enriched with aloe and vitamins to give you an extremely close shave. Schick Xtreme 3 Sensitive Razor features 3 blades that flex and pivot to adapt to your body’s contours and a conditioning strip. Schick Xtreme3 Hawaiian Tropic razors have a scented handle and 3 flexing and pivoting blades. Schick Slim Twin for Woman Sensitive razors have twin blades with a conditioning strip. Schick Slim Triple for Her has 3 Schick quality blades plus a lubrication strip with aloe and vitamin E. Schick Slim Twin FitStyle For Her also has a lubricating strip enriched with Vitamin E and aloe.
We ended up buying a couple of different packages because it was hard to tell from the store shelves which one would work the best for her skin and convenience. Schick also offers several other types of razors – refillables, sensitive, advanced moisturization, simplified shaving, and bikini trimmers. There’s truly something for every woman’s shaving needs. They have men’s products too, but we really didn’t look at them.
While we were at Walmart, we thought of a few other things she needed, like a decent set of dishes and a robe and slippers. I even got my oil changed while we were shopping!
Now that we have the toiletries covered, I feel that my daughter is more prepared to leave for college. I’m sure I’ll think of something else tomorrow that she’ll need. Maybe I’ll end up being the parent hauling a trailer full of things after all!
