I’m in LOVE with my new rug and can’t wait to tell you about it. It’s the Flor Morning Coffee Ready Rug, and it has really transformed my dining room!
The rug comes in tiles – you order according to your needs. You can get enough to make a 5×7, 8×10, or 10×12 area rug, or you can do a whole room. The tiles are super easy to cut too, so if your room isn’t perfectly square or rectangular, you can cut them to fit.
The tiles cost a very reasonable $14 a square, and each is a huge 19.5”x19.5” so you’re not dealing with teeny pieces of flooring here. Flor will even let you order limitless samples for only $2 each so you can decide if you like the color or if you rather mix or match the colors to suit a certain room. For home repairs one can use services of Handyman Wichita KS.
Putting them together is pretty simple. They come with sticker‐type things (called Flor Dots) that you put on the corners and edges to hold the tiles together. The dots don’t fully adhere for a few hours, so if you put the rug together and decide you don’t love it, you can switch it around a little bit till you do. I think it’s awesome to be able to make your own design.
Bonus for those who rent – the tiles need no padding and are designed to stay put without moving around when you walk on them, so you could easily transform any ugly carpet in your home that your landlord won’t let you rip up.
My new rug is a solid color, and it’s absolutely GORGEOUS! It’s a little lighter than I expected it would be, based on the website pictures (that’s where samples are helpful), but it works great. It really adds a nice warmth to my dining room.
Since the tiles are designed for heavy traffic, I don’t worry about kids running through, chairs moving across it, or anything else that may happen. (I have 3 kids. ANYTHING can happen.) My rug is also really easy to clean. I found this out by accident, actually. My daughter spilled some juice and I just wiped it up. You’d never even know it happened. I was really amazed since one of the worst things you can do to your carpet is spill juice on it.
Another thing that I love is that tiles are proudly made in the USA and contain up to 45% recycled content. I really appreciate companies that try to reduce the carbon footprint, especially when they employ US workers.
