They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend but I think the NUME Empress Flat Iron is better, and far less expensive. There really is no better way to get a perfectly non‐frizzy, shiny and sleek look. It’s amazing and uses real diamonds (yes, real diamonds) to straighten your tresses. How awesome is that?
My daughter and I straighten our hair on a pretty regular basis, and until now, the process was anything but glamorous. Now I feel like a beauty queen every single morning. The diamonds are sprinkled onto the ceramic coated plates. This flat iron literally glistens when you use it. It’s stunning!
The plates are also infused with keratin. If you’re not familiar with salon keratin treatments, basically they put the keratin treatment in your hair and then use heat to seal it. It’s a pretty pricey treatment, too. Because the plates are infused with it, you get the same effect as you would in a salon, without the price. Granted, it doesn’t last the 4 weeks the salon treatment does (unless you don’t wash your hair!), but it still makes your hair soft, shiny, easier to manage, and absolutely fabulous. You look like you just stepped out of a salon every time you use it. And who wouldn’t want that?
The Advanced ceramic heating mechanism does heat up the iron quickly ‐ only 40‐50 seconds ‐ which is nice if you’re someone who’s always running late in the morning (guilty!) You could turn it on when you get out of the shower, get dressed, and then use it. It’s that fast.
You can also control the temperature so that you don’t damage your hair. Those with super fine hair don’t need the heat to be all the way up to 450 to get the job done. It adjusts to fit everyone’s hair type, and the controls are very simple to use.
I really like that you can do so many different styles with it. Because the edges are rounded, you can create all kinds of waves and flips, or just go pin straight. It’s also ergonomically designed, and there are no cramped hands while using it. If you were part of the late 80s/early 90s big hair craze, you know that styling hair can literally be a pain.
With the holidays so close, I think I might get a couple of these for gifts. I know quite a few people that would love them!
