I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Save Mart. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Shopping is a part of everyone’s daily life — whether you’re shopping for food, clothes, or anything really. Receiving items for free just for shopping, rarely happens, though. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could shop for FREE items just for spending a certain amount of money? I absolutely LOVE the idea of collecting stamps for FREE cookware, don’t you? It’s a very nice incentive, especially if you do a lot of grocery shopping, like myself. Um, one of the things I love most about Save Mart is their prices and customer service. I’m always greeted with with bright, friendly smiles — which is always a PLUS! Their meat is always fresh and their veggies is always crisp, and I absolutely love that fact that everything’s affordable.
The Bonus Stamps
Save Mart Supermarkets are looking to help you add to your cookware collection. From September 3rd through January 20th you can shop at Save Mart, and collect bonus stamps to redeem for great Thomas Cookware pieces. For every $10 you spend at Save Mart, you’ll receive one BONUS stamp, plus select items can earn you extra stamps. How awesome is that?
You can go to Save Mart’s website and select the cookware items that you like, and collect bonus stamps to redeem them. If you collect so many, you can even redeem fewer stamps, and spend a small amount of cash to purchase the pieces if you don’t have quite enough stamps. There is also a bonus stamp calculator to check which items you will be able to redeem your stamps for.
This ah-mazing Thomas Cook and Pour line includes 9 pieces that are designed to go from your stove top directly to your oven. Included are 4 non-stick pans, and 5 multi-function pots, making it just a little easier to prepare your dinner with less mess, and easy clean up. There’s nothing better than being able to prepare dinner and not have to worry about how difficult cleaning it all up is going to be. Plus, with the great pour and strain features that some of the cookware has, you’ll never have to worry about spilling while pouring your dinner into a bowl (hopefully, I’m not the only one who spills things on the counter).
My family loves Spanish rice (yes, we’re addicted). So, I thought I’d make some in the Thomas Pour & Cook Fry Pan (and I’m so glad I did). I added a little hamburger meat to the Spanish rice, and let me tell you, it came out DEEEE-licious. My family couldn’t stop raving about this Spanish rice and sadly it was gone within minutes. And so, without further ado. Here is my recipe for Spanish rice with ground beef. Hope you guys like it.
Beefy Spanish Rice
- 4 Roma tomatoes
- 2 cups rice
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 3 cups water
- ½ cup onion
- ½ pound ground beef
- 3 chicken tomato bullion cubes
- 2 Tablespoons Parsley, for garnish
- Shredded Cheese, optional
- Salt, to taste
- For the bouillon water – In a medium sauce pan, boil tomato tomato bullion cubes and water, set aside.
- In large fry pan, brown ground ground beef and onion until no longer pink; drain fat. Set meat aside.
- In the same fry pan, add olive oil, garlic and rice, cook until lightly brown.
- Stir in ground beef, tomato bouillon water, bring to a slight boil.
- Cover Spanish rice, reduce heat to low and simmer for about 15-20 min. or until rice is fluffy and tender.
