Choosing a vacation destiny that will suit everyone in the family can be QUITE difficult, especially if you have children that are from different age groups. Older children want to do something exciting and this may be something that is not suitable for the younger child in your family. So just what are you supposed to choose as a vacation destination? I think that I may have found an answer for some of you. It is an amusement park called Boomers. This particular amusement park is located in sunny Modesto, California.
Boomers amusement park is great for families of all ages. I know that my hubby and I, along with my three teens thoroughly enjoyed it. We all liked the fact that the park truly had something for everyone. For those that want to take a break from the arcade or go karts, there is an area that has miniature golf (it’s so fun). We spent some time enjoying the miniature golf ( see our guide on golf range finders) and to be honest, I am not sure who liked it more, me or the kids.
Boomers have several amusement parks all over the USA (cool, right?). It is a family owned entertainment center that provides both indoor and outdoor entertainment. Some of the features include, but are not limited to- batting cages, bumper boats, go-karts. kiddie rides, restaurants, musical shows, and more. Boomers! Modesto used to be known as Camelot Park before the merger.
One of their newest and most funnest attractions includes the Flame Thrower, which will get your adrenaline pumping. The Flame Thrower is not a roller coaster but rather a two person ride. While on this ride you will be flipped and flopped upside down, forward and backward. We tried it out while we were there and found it to be very thrilling and fun.
For the younger set, there are lots of kiddie activities in Kid’s Play land (and they look like a lot of fun, too). It is a place where those 48” and under can play, crawl, slide, and climb. Makes me want to wish I was a kid again ‘cause when we walked by, the squeals of kids sounding happy while they played made me what to take part in the action.
The kids spent some time at the batting cages, and they definitely will not make the major leagues but had fun just the same. We didn’t bother with challenging the rock wall this time, but will definitely rise to the challenge the next time we visit.
Boomers! Modesto is open 7 days a week at scheduled times. During special events, the park closes early. Make sure to check out their website for their detailed operating hours. As for the admission fees, single admission tickets are available as well as group tickets. Boomers! Modesto also have several group packages that may mean more savings for your group. Certain restrictions apply.
We will definitely be visiting Boomers! Modesto in the near future. They offer affordable entertainment that is fun for the whole family. Maybe we’ll see you there!
